Instagram Makeup For Beginners: Cut Crease And Cat-Eye Flick

Whether you're an Instagram star in the making or a bold diva in your everyday life, this look is the perfect choice to show your creative genius and your mad makeup skills to the world.
Start with the basics: moisturize, apply foundation, and contour your face according to your face shape.

Use a primer on the lids

A primer helps the eyeshadow stick on much better and makes bright colours pop even more.

Cut crease

Deep set upturned eyes are perfect for a cut crease makeup look, because the eye crease is already very prominent naturally. Using a contouring shade, you can easily follow your natural eye crease with a brush. The goal is to create a kind of v-shape with the contour which extends from the outer corner to the middle of the eyelid. This is the base for your next step.

Wild colour all over the lid

Pick an eyeshadow colour that will complement your eye colour and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, girl. You can dampen the brush to make the shade even more intense. Now blend, blend, blend!

Silvery shimmer in the corner of the eye

You need something seriously shimmery for the inner corners of your eyes. Once applied as pictured below, it will catch the light beautifully in the photos, giving your Insta photos that extra sparkle.

Cat-eye flick

Draw a thicker line right above the eyelashes with an eyeliner. I can't recommend Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner by Bobbi Brown enough, it's my favourite. Then pull a thin line up to the crease and slightly elongate the line into the crease as well. To finish the cat-eye look, use the contouring shade from before and line the lower lid.

Shape your eyebrows (but not with the pencil from the video 'cause it sucks), put on some nude lipstick, and you're good to go. Be prepared for likes after you post this, your Instagram will be on fire.
